Plural

In Korean, the suffix ‘들’ can be used to indicate plurality. When added to a noun, it suggests that there are multiple instances of that noun.

Ex) 사과 + 들 = 사과들

  • 사과들 (apples)
  • 책들(books)
  • 집들 (houses)
  • 꽃들 (flowers)
  • 차들 (cars)
  • 새들 (birds)
  • 친구들 (friends)
  • 선생님들 (teachers)
  • 고양이들 (cats)
  • 개들 (dogs)
  • 나무들 (trees)
  • 의자들 (chairs)
  • 산들 (mountains)
  • 강들 (rivers)
  • 핸드폰들 (cell phones)
  • 우산들 (umbrellas)
  • 바지들 (pants)
  • 신발들 (shoes)

Please note that while ‘들’ can be used to convey plurality, it is not mandatory, as context and the use of counters can also indicate quantity.
