In Korean, the suffix ‘들’ can be used to indicate plurality. When added to a noun, it suggests that there are multiple instances of that noun.
Ex) 사과 + 들 = 사과들
- 사과들 (apples)
- 책들(books)
- 집들 (houses)
- 꽃들 (flowers)
- 차들 (cars)
- 새들 (birds)
- 친구들 (friends)
- 선생님들 (teachers)
- 고양이들 (cats)
- 개들 (dogs)
- 나무들 (trees)
- 의자들 (chairs)
- 산들 (mountains)
- 강들 (rivers)
- 핸드폰들 (cell phones)
- 우산들 (umbrellas)
- 바지들 (pants)
- 신발들 (shoes)
Please note that while ‘들’ can be used to convey plurality, it is not mandatory, as context and the use of counters can also indicate quantity.
